  • Our lab received the first R21 Award in UT Tyler from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID/NIH)! The funded project will study the clinically isolated mutations of the bacterial sensor histidine kinase VraS and their effect on the enzyme catalytic functions, affinity to ATP, receptor dimerization, and interaction with its response regulator VraR. GO TEAM!

Our lab specializes in discovering novel agents that can be developed to drug leads and understanding how biological drug targets work and interact with these agents.
